About Us

The Sunraysia Eventing Team is a group of keen and enthusiastic riders that have a strong passion to event. As we are extremely isolated being located in Mildura (right at the very top of Victoria) we must travel 100's of km's to get to an event, one of our "local" events is a 2 hour drive. In saying this to be able to compete in this sport we must be highly committed to the competition. But of course we can't do this without the dedication and support of our loving family. 

All of us on SET have a strong bond and we support each other through the good times and bad. We give each other inspiration and encouragement when facing new challenges, then nothing seems impossible. But most of all we love to go away camping and competing together. No one finishes the weekend without sore cheeks from smiling.

All of our riders attend Mildura Alcheringa Pony Club, whether we are members or volunteers. We go to regular Pony Club rallies held once a month and some of us are "buddies" with the younger riders. Pony Club has taught us all many life skills and it has progressed many of us up through the grades into EA. We have also had lots of different opportunities with equestrian since joining Pony Club. Some riders who have attended Mildura Alcheringa Pony Club have continued on and become successful in other disciplines including Showjumping and Dressage.
