RESULTS2012Kirkcaldy EA HTKirkcaldy Park HT was held on the beautiful weekend of Easter... well it would have been if there was no wind, dust and rain! Lucky SET riders are tough, with Bridget Tinker and Sarani Blackwell braving the weather. Bridget competed in Preliminary, unfortunately her dressage consisted of terrential rain, but she managed placing 19th. She was very happy with her cross country with no refusals but went a little too fast costing her 3.2 time penalties. She then had her SJ with one unlucky rail finishing in 12th place. Sarani competed in Introductory.Although the combination was eliminated on cross country, she was very happy with her efforts. Sarani was =14th after dressage and had a clear round in the SJ. Well done to the girls.
MAPC EA ShowThe annual Pony Club show was hosted on the 25th of March. It was a really fun day with SET riders competing in the SJ and P/C rings. Thank you to everyone who turned up and supported our P/C.
Lockington HTAfter placing midfield from the dressage phase, Bridget Tinker and Divine Intervention had an unfortunate refusal at a combination on cross country. They finished the day with a pleasing clear Show jumping round, placing them 24th overall.
PCAV State Dressage & SJ championshipsA weekend of rain and sunshine saw Daisy, James and Carl at the PCAV Dressage and SJ Championships in Albury. They claim to have had a good time with the weather not dampening their spirits! Carl Forbes-Wilson was very successful in his Dressage team of four earning six place. Carl was riding Mt William Toblerone, James Forbes-Wilson was riding Irish Shamrock and Daisy Lamb was riding Stretch Limo. Well done to the three of them.
Glenlyon HTOn the 25/2 Pip, Lucy and Hannah traveled down to the Glenlyon P/C grounds for their annual HT. After beautiful weather supplying an enjoyable weekend and superb hospitality from the club, they came home with:
Grade 1
Pip Durban and Willandra Jackaroo, 1st
This competition was well worth it and recommended for any rider of any level.
2011Australian International 3DEOn the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th of November Pip Durban and Willandra Jackaroo competed in the Adelaide International 3DE 2**. Pip did extremely well and we are all very proud of her efforts. Some of our SET riders travelled over and experienced this amazing event and cheered Pip on. Pip placed 39th after a spekky save on the cross country.
Mildura Alcheringa P/C HTIt was great to once again compete locally after the grounds were flooded, postponing the EA HT. But not to worry, the grounds was back up to scratch after some elbow grease. Here are the results of the SET riders:
Reynella HTA few of our SET riders competed in the Reynella HT held on the 22nd and 23rd of October. They all had a successful weekend coming home with:
Australian Interschool Champs 2011My family and I traveled down to Werribee Park for the Australian Interschool Championships from the 4th to 7th of October. WOW!! What an experience!! Our Life (Ollie) and I were a part of the SA team and competed in the Preliminary eventing placing 15th... but that was irrelevant! It was the best experience of my life. The SA team were so friendly and we all got along so well. I loved every part of the whole week, and I will remember it forever.

Friends of Werribee HTTwo of our SET headed off to Werribee for the annual FOW HT. They both competed successfully, Jazmin finishing 14th in Introductory and Pip finishing 12th in her first ever 2**! Both girls should be extremely proud of their efforts!
Mt Gambier HTHannah Boseley and Eliza Weaver were the only two from SET that braved the 8 hour trip and competed at Mt Gambier HT 2011. After an unsatisfying forecast, the weekend turned out great with perfect weather, no rain in sight. After dressage Eliza and Chippenham Nasa were placed highly at 4th in Introductory, but unfortunately was eliminated on Cross Country after one too many refusals. Hannah and Solar Eclipse on the other hand didn't have a great start to the weekendin Preliminary but managed to get only one rail in the SJ and a clear Cross Country placing her 19th overall. Well done to the girls.
Tocumwal HTOn the 14th of August, the Lanes, the Boseley's, the Forbes-Wilsons and the Tinkers compted at the 2011 Tocumwal HT. After yet another great weekend SET had 3 place getters in Pony Club grades 2, 3 and 4, here were the results:
Deniliquin ODEDeniliquin ODE was held on the 26th of June which most of SET competed in. We all had a very successful weekend whether it was not getting eliminated on Cross Country or winning their section. The placings were:
Melbourne 3DEAs we all know Pip Durban competed 1* in the annual Melbourne 3DE. She was very successful finishing on her dressage score which placed her 5th overall. Well done Pip and Jack we are all very proud of you.
State PCAV HT 2011Lucy and Pip competed in the 2011 State P/C HT. Lucy entered the Gr 2 section and Pip the Gr 1. They were very successful coming home with Pip 3rd and Lucy 8th.

Another New Member!!Yay! its great to have such wonderful riders on SET and it is with pleasure we invite Bec Gowers onto the Team. Bec was a member of Mildura Alcheringa Pony Club for many years competing successfully. She moved to Adelaide Hills for several years working for Megan Jones, then moved back to Mildura for a few years helping out at her old P/C and competing at a few competitions on her gorgeous horse Cloud. Now she has moved back to the Adelaide Hills and has a nice specimen (SET t-shirt!) to remember her home town. Bec will always be loved back here in Mildura!
New Team Member! We welcome Sarani Blackwell to the Sunraysia Eventing Team. Sarani recently travelled and competed at Lockington and Kirkcaldy HT with Bridget Tinker. Sarani is competing on her inexperienced thoroughbred mare, Spannina, and is enjoying everything about eventing (she has the eventing bug!). Sarani is a local vet here in Mildura, originally from Perth WA. We wish her well with her future eventing and hope she has heaps of fun with SET.
PCAV State HT 2012Three lucky SET riders have qualified for the 2012 PCAV eventing championships on the 5-6 of May, Pip Durban, Jazmin O'Neil and Hannah Boseley. The championships will be held down at Mornington Peninsula... a nice little hike away! The girls will be competing as a team called "Living The Dream" (the name says it all!). Pip will be in Grade 1 on Willandra Jackaroo, Hannah in Grade 1 on Solar Eclipse and Jazmin in Grade 2 on GP First Edition and Glenzella. We wish the girls all the best.
Happy New Year!!I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. The count down begins to the first eventing competition to kick start the New Year, how exciting! New Year for me means a fresh start, it brings; goals, enthusiasm, resolutions, motivation and all those other things we burn out by the end of every year! So to everyone on SET, take advantage of this enthusiasm and think of a goal and make it happen this year... before the world ends!! Haha. Mine this year is to compete with my young horse Rustic Halo (Monty) in the eventing world. It might sound silly but goals are what keeps us going, they keep us enthused to achieve and once we have achieved we become enthused again, the cycle goes on. So to everyone on SET, I wish you well on achieving your goals for 2012.
